Upgrade older Airbus A310 to meet the current requirements for Controller Pilot Data Link communications.
Our Approach
Working with our partners Mid Canada Mod Center and CMC Electronics, we developed a cost-effective solution to bring new life to this aircraft.
The Solution
FANS and ATN-B1 are good examples of where the OEM either doesn’t have a solution or the solution they have is too costly.
Together with CMC Esterline and Mid Canada Mod Center, we came up with an FMS/ FANS, ATNB-1 solution that would enable the aircraft to operate in European and NAT Aerospace.
The Result
The operator now has an aircraft with a significantly extended usable life. Plus, safety and pilot situational awareness are also enhanced with this solution.
